Ajani Cornelius was unranked coming out of Harlem (New York) Stepinac in the On3 Consensus. He signed with Rhode Island after leading his high school team to back-to-back state and league championships in 2018 and 2019. He was committed to Howard at one point in his senior season before flipping to the Rams. Cornelius started 22 games in 2021 and 2022 for the Rams. The right tackle sat out his first two years on campus but took over the starting job at right tackle in 2021 and earned All-CAA first-team honors this year. He entered the Transfer Portal following the 2022 season with three years of eligibility remaining to play two seasons.
