That is likely to change after the conference tournament. I imagine he will be a top 3 seed at that point, and that changes everything for him.

Yep, since they went to 16+ seeds in 2014, 100 of the last 110 champions (91%) have come from the top 4 seeds.

Of the other 10 there have been two 5 seeds, two 6 seeds, three 8 seeds, one one each of the 9, 11, and 13 seed. That's it.

edit: the 9 seed was Starocci, so really 101 of the last 110 based on all the complaints about that seed.

My point is that it's a generic ranking... all 6th ranked wrestlers are set at the same percentage... doesn't take into account anything else

And there are exceptions to every rule. If that were a betting line (50-1) it would need to be adjusted fast based on all the money that would be bet on Forrest.

This new age of wrestlers will change the sport similar to Askren. Machine-gun style and chain wrestling at a whole new level. The only downside is I bet knee and shoulder injuries go way up. I’m seeing more of what I consider “entanglements” than traditional scrambles.
