Freeman knocks down a long three and RU wins! What a great finish. Corey comes alive in the latter part of the second half and Rutgers D shuts down Illinois in the last minute plus. What a great finish to a very watchable and fun team. We may be offensively impaired but this was a fun team to watch.

Way to go guys!

One more important thing: Thank you CJ for being here this year. You were a very consistent contributor and I really appreciate what you did for Rutgers. I wish you much success in whatever you choose to do going forward.

Freeman for three...just as I would have drawn it up!

In all seriousness, these kids battled all year and made the university and its fans proud. What a great way to end a season of progress!

That was an unbelievable finish! Freeman's shot would have been good a 3 pointer in the NBA, that's how far out he was.

I see some called nigel stone faced. Clearly not as excited but in the group celebrating at the final buzzer.
