Two things immediately come to mind when I think of Sa...

*About midnight one evening in the IHOP in Piscataway, he was being tutored in a booth by a fellow student. He was really into it. Books were scattered all over the table.

*If he could have hit a free throw, we would have beaten Wisconsin at MSG.

Sa played hard. Was a good rebounder and tough defender

Yeboah was awesome at everything.

Yebaoh is one of the best RU transfers of all time. He could do everything and was a calming force on the court.

Shame he couldn’t play another year at RU.

GO RU
As far as transfers in, he and Johnathan Mitchell both brought such a well rounded game, calm veteran presence. Keith Hughes, Earl Duncan, Rob Hodgson probably the only better transfers in during my fandom. Then there are the Rich Ashmede's of the world...

Steve Worthy was a stud. And Young and Cam for sure - was going back a bit more than 18 months, but for sure. Brent Dabbs from UVA too.

Lou Whitaker, Carlos Delgado and Jose Lind can't get in to the Hall of Fame but Candido Sa can be called a legend

Rutgers legends have a tendency to have been Scarlet Knights

I'm sure Jose is a Bridgeport Bluefish legend

Carlos probably is a legend in Puerto Rico because of his MLB career and his involvement with the Puerto Rico National Baseball team

Everyone in Detroit knows Lou Whitaker's name, which puts him among the legends there

Among other transfers mentioned, CJ Gettys has a special place on the list.

When I saw him on the court in Pike’s first year, I knew something had changed.

Steve found a bulky 6’11 dude with good fundamentals, and we started to get a feel for how the program could be rebuilt the right way.

Jon McDaniel has to be the strangest transfer in Rutgers basketball history.

He started his career with RU, then transferred to Seton Hall, where he did not participate in a game. He then transferred back to Rutgers!

Along with Ashmede , there were guys like Brian Samuels and Johnny Blake

Wenzel had some guy Darko. Rumor was Wenzel never went to see him play and offered him a scholarship. Then some pudgy guy that can’t play showed up . But I don’t think he was a transfer, just some guy from
Serbia. Wenzel was catfished

But at least Darko and teammate Al Karner did get featured on a SportsCenter segment during the Serbian/Croatian War.
