Lost 2 on the tip in, missed the flagrant late. In close games these things matter!

Big Ten is a joke and so is Hobbs if he doesn’t speak up for once.

Totally agree. The tip in by Johnson was GOOD.

Johnson was FOULED on the follow up shot with 0 time left (the defender got him with the body....but NO F'in Call)..

Iowa gets a BJ from the Refs.

Why wasn't the Johnson play reviewed? What kind of fairness is there when you review plays in the last 2 mins. but not the rest of the game?

Either make it like football where plays can be challenged each half (1 / half) ...or do away with this video that seems to favor the established teams regardless of the play (data).

I can excuse the goaltending call as it was real time and relatively close even on replay. The non-intentional however was the difference in the game. How do you watch the replay and say that wasn't intentional?
Most unreal call of the game. You review it and say it was a common foul? He “accidentally” grabbed his arm going for the ball that was 10 feet away !?? And how do you even call that in the first place !! The fix was in

Dont forget the flagrant on mathis that should have been 2 shots and the ball. Refs screw us every week. It's like watching the giants play
That was the one I was referencing. Need our AD to back up his coach to the league because this is a joke. Not going to another game until something changes.
I see where you're coming from but dont penalize the team and their effort because of it

Break out the violins for the ref defenders

Frank...I'm against guns and have never advocated threatening anyone.

But I do believe a Bolshevik style cleansing needs to take place in the NCAA, B1G officials and of course the REFS.

Seriously, I wonder if the refs can sit in a room with the video from tonight and have a Rutgers man or woman who watched the game explain
why we as a University STARTED the #metoo movement.

The game was loss because of poor officiating, poor foul shooting and Harper making only 2 points in the second half. The last play of the game Rutgers defense can't allow a full court pass to be completed and then allow the player to get a shot off.Heart breaking loss for the coaching staff, players and fans.

Cook dunks, hangs on the rim for a bit and then slaps the backboard. No T. Which btw I’m fine with. But I’m pretty sure EO got T’d up for the exact same thing a few games back. This has been my complaint all year. Refs are so inconsistent it’s maddening.

Sure looked like he stepped inbounds on that long stride to throw that ball on the hail Mary. Is that reviewable?

When it happened to EO I was like "well that's the rule". Well the rule doesn't apply when it favors us

Refs played a part in this game and I thought Pike did not coach a good game either. Nevertheless, we should have won. Lucky win by a very good team.

Refs played a major part not just the blatantly obvious ones mentioned here but many others that cost us at least 10 points easily. Where did you think Pikell coached a bad game?

The hand on the shoulder to me is a flagrant 1 - committed to stop a fast break. Mathis should have been shooting 2 plus the ball. He probably sinks both in that scenario too.

Refs did not make RU miss 8 of 18 free throws. The fans of a team that shoots 55% from the line can’t complain about the refs costing their team a win.

Missing FTs has nothing to do with poor officiating and vice versa. However I do agree that FT shooting isn’t helping us one bit.

That short ref seemed like pigs would have to fly before he would cut us a break, just about every questionable call he made went against us. I knew it was a mistake leaving my battle axe at home.

Every single 50-50 call went against us tonight.

Myles tip in that was NOT offensive goaltending.

Mathis breakaway was CLEARLY an intentional foul.

Bohannon trips over his own shoelace but we get called for a foul.

McConnell runs into a pick and HE gets called for a foul. What??!

And on and on...

McConnell runs into an illegal pick! How about I the first half on a rebound the Iowa player sends McConnell flying out of bounds and there is no call

As a point of reference without seeing the replay

I believe the goaltend call was called by the trailing officical 30 feet from the basket...who was out of position

I’m sorry ....you don’t just make that call

1. Thiam and Kiss together in the game against the press. We lost all our momentum during this time.

1b. Thiam In the game at all.

2. McConnell not in the game late in place of Mathis.

3. Leaving Johnson on the bench too long.

4. Our offense against the zone was ridiculous. You can cut, screen, and move against a zone but we never do. It’s all weak ball movement often with our big man often at the top of the key facing the other basket, and we are left forcing up a shot late in the clock, but this has been a problem all year.

The midget ref - Joe Pesci with black hair lookalike - was horrible. McCaffrey went apeshit on him 2 minutes into the game and from that point on - every call by him went against us. He's been awful in the other games he reffed as well. I was ok with CJ (tall bald ref) and the white haired ref.

One other thing is we have no inbound plays!!
