What I saw from WV on Saturday did not impress me until momentum swung to WV's favor.

Before that 4th down play K State was controlling the game.
Problem with that is K State played horribly last weekend.

I think WV should understand this. Hopefully for your sake Dana is not allowing this team to buy into the hype.


Texas Tech will be on a whole another level. Plus they go into the game with confidence and momentum because they are at home.

Thinking this does not end well for WV but I think your expectations are a little too high.

Even with a 3-0 start you played one of the worse schedules in CFB so far even with two P5 teams.
I think it is ranked the 95th toughest schedule.

Still think this is a 8-3 team.
More than that with growth for 2019 especially on the defense.

According to Bill Snyder K State was 6 inches from winning the game.
The QB checked out of the play call and tried to run to the outside with a pitch to the RB
Don't know what the QB saw on that play but it cost him his starting job.

Anyway Bill Snyder could be senile because he acted like Delton outperformed Thompson at the press conference.

I don't think that is what Tech hangs its hat on anymore. Coach Bro is an unorthodox coach. Especially the last few years. Like with any team that hasn't won you never know what to expect. More than that you do not know how Tech will play.

I truthfully think their D is very underrated.

Their offense is under a new OC. Kevin Johns. A disciple of Kevin Wilson. Former Indiana coach and current Ohio St OC. The WR patterns used are very different than a typical AirRaid offense.

More than anything winning in Lubbock three times in a row won't be easy no matter what happened in 2016.

Great teams win even when they play their C game.
The issue is if WV goes into Lubbock and plays 24 minutes like they did against K State it will be 28-0 before you know it.

But........

Even with that I wouldn't count out Will Grier and WV. If there is a team that can come back being down by 28 it is West Virginia.
