Just inexcusable if you ask me. You want to build a good football team or not? Just ******* lazy, just like Frost.

You want to get paid all this ******* money to coach and to play? This is the way you lose your fans real ******* quick.

EVERY game will be tough when you suck at coaching football. EVERY game will be tough when you suck at playing football. That means EVERY game will be tough for all of you. Can you get that through your ******* heads? Unfcukingbelievable with this team.

Put my post up in the locker room for EVERYONE to see until you stop sucking at coaching and playing football.

Yeah, this quote pissed me off. I mean seriously?

Yikes....this is concerning.

As in, WTF?
We've seen in the right circumstances, i.e. Penn State, Clemson, Fla State, etc once the wheels start to fall off you can wind up in the ditch pretty quickly. Look at how fast PSU collapsed after losing an OT game to Oregon.

I think as much as anything when a team or teams have a large input of portal kids, it can quickly become an "I" game rather than a "we" game.

Then we throw in the discrepancy of money being paid at such a disparate rate. Problems.

This is a perfect example of harm avoidance. The rap in Carolina is that Matt will not be accountable when things go wrong.

His comments imply, "Hey, I took MINN seriously, don't blame me it was the assistants who didn't have their groups ready."

Where were Matt's criticism last year when assistant Foley was stinking up the place? He didn't even publicly throw him under the bus.

Something has changed.

Umm, the quote says that Rhule told them it was going to be tough. They didn’t believe him.

Was the coaches that needed to in force that every game is going to be physical games in this conference and being rated doesn’t give you the right to not show up.

Hologersen seems like he doesn’t want to run the ball and he has that passing mentality.

First possession should have had Emmett tough the ball at least once.

Jmo the players and some assistants thought they could just show up and win and coach Rhule was trying to get them to get with it. Now it could be all bs
So we got a bunch of Boobie Miles who think it’s all God given and all they gotta do is show up?

Seems like a "I am going to coach at Penn State, and I am just here to make sure those leftover at Nebraska learn the most they can from me before I leave". I am not sure he will be offered but I think in his mind he is the greatest thing since sliced bread and he has an inside track to the job. Similar to Bo telling the fans that they can eff themselves because he is on his way out, when there wasn't another power 5 school that would touch him as a head coach. Coaches live lives of illusion for sure.

I'm guessing he knew that he was going to fire Foley. Maybe didnt want to pour salt on that wound?

Also, the players & assistant coaches will be just fine by being called out.

Well sure, but that's why it comes across as an "I was ready, but nobody else was" comment.

Not a great look, when you are the guy in charge.
Does it even matter?

This comment, you think is bad.
A comment taking the blame (My fault, I wasn't ready or I didnt get the players ready), you would also think is bad.

Literally nothing he could say where you'd be, "Oh, okay. That was a good explanation."

Which is fine, but anyone upset over this, don't pretend like you would accept any other type of comment by Rhule.

It doesn't matter what any coach or player says or the reason why, we stunk up the place. Now try & fix it and go win some games.

Curious, and maybe there is an acceptable quote for you, but is there anything Rhule could have said about the Minnesota game where you would have found it acceptable?

It's pretty much this or another "look at the preacher preach"! Right?
Listen to what cignetti said at his press conference after beating Oregon

This one comment was taken out of context. He followed up later to clarify. With that said would agree that there seems to be coordinators and head coaches not on same page - which is a big problem.

Whatever you need to tell yourself go for it but this has nothing to do with him leaving here in my opinion.

You are correct. Many people are against him so it doesn’t matter what he says. He might as well call the fair weather fans a bunch of pu$$ies
