Nick Rolovich, from Hawaii.

Runs a pass happy offense and can recruit the islands, so that's promising.

Much like Leach at MSU, a lot will depend on his DC hire.

Rolovich was the expected hire, correct?

Seems like there was a strong in-house candidate with Rolovich being the strong outside choice?

He couldn’t really recruit the islands though. He lost all the big boys from St. Louis Academy to mainland schools but definitely a good hire for them.

There wasn't anyone in house. You guys are taking all the good Leach assistants.

It was either Rolo, Harrell or Harsin, IMO.

How do you feel about Rolovich? Had some pretty good success at Hawaii it looks like. Played under June Jones and likes to throw the football.

Hopefully y’all can fill the stadium better than Hawaii can(I had season tickets for $120). He airs the ball out as much as or more than Leach did. Definitely a fun offense to watch.

Seems like a logical hire. Should be able to step in and run his offense without too much roster turnover. I like it.

Good luck to you guys. I've always enjoyed staying up and watching Pac-12 football with Leach and the Cougs. Always very entertaining and I've normally had a QB or WR from WSU on my college fantasy team. Feel bad we sort of pulled the staff out from under you guys but we were sort of in the same boat when Mullen went to Florida and he took nearly his entire staff with him. He took all his offensive guys (known as the "country club" around here) and then even took Grantham (our DC) as well. Anyway, I hope the new guy keeps your team playing well.

I kind of wanted Graham Harrell, but I like the Rolo hire. He seems like a smart, innovative guy. His scheme fits the personnel well, so hopefully there won't be multiple painful transition years. Our prized QB recruit is from HI, so that's a good fit.

I'm a little concerned about his connections as it pertains to bringing a good staff in.
