Too bad Watts looks the better player going both ways as well.

Gotta disagree. Betts is much more the size and style we need on the perimeter. Watts comes off to me as more of a slot guy, and we have plenty of those...

Watts will be a DB in college. Doesn't look like a P5 level WR. Zavier has a much, much bigger upside at the next level. It's not even close.

That was a bad job by Watts. If you can't catch passes like that you have no chance of playing WR at the P5 level.

2 times now in this game Watts has failed to be skilled at jumping to get the ball the way a P5 level WR needs to do it.

I am seeing why the coaches were not heavy after him.

I wonder if they recruited watts as a DB or WR? He looks really small. Betts look like a giant out there.

I don't know what they want him for, but I know I didn't see a P5 level WR out there from Watts.

Betts upside is NFL level. There are some weaknesses that need some work before he sees the field on a consistent basis, but man can he stretch the field.

Jaylin Bradley looked really good in the state championship for Bellevue West. Best player on the field by far. What happened?

The coaches were heavy after him. As well as coaches at Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Minnesota and many other schools that rarely recruit prospects in the state of Nebraska. There's no need to diminish him because he chose not to stay home.

Meh...several schools offered before us. That says it all.

Agreed. And, given our track record at recruiting lately, there is no guarantee we got the best one. If Watts is going to Notre Dame, he must have some intelligence at least. We could absolutely use that right now. I was hoping losing solid prospects from within Nebraska were over. So much for locking down the 500 mile radius.
