released their 2021 All- WNC team just in time for the new 2022 season. I'd link it but its super top secret, subscriber only access so it would just waste your time and a click.

Truly a sad little newspaper. The All-WNC team used to come out over Christmas.

Congrats to all who made it, whoever you are.

BlueVols, sadly most papers are that way now. Surprised any of them still in business.

Gannett is the devil. They've now bought the Hendersonville paper so they can ruin it too.
True. It is all by design. What is worse, people actually believe what is in them. The AC-T is locked in on a President who left office 18 months ago, a Congressional candidate's voting record who didn't get re-elected, Pride month, and wine pairings for food trucks in the city. They seem to zero in on this and a host of other mindless leftist mantra that affects know one's life and/or about 8% of the population even gives a crap about it. Hell of a business model all to push agenda.

Sounds like a typical newspaper. No matter what name is on it.

More like any news outlet, no matter the name on it. As I've said in other post, we've made everything about money. So whatever sells, draws attention, and gets views will be what the news will tell. If Asheville was the other way around you'd be getting the other view of the story

What other "view" are you speaking of? "Alternate facts?" If every other newspaper including the ACT has a different "view" than yours, doesnt that make a reasonably intelligent person question whether their view is based on fact, or "alternate facts?"

Gannett and Managing Editor Diane Turbyfill F’d up the Shelby Star. They now have 1 sports writer covering 3 counties. Next to no local news. Turbyfill tried to write an article on the 7th Inning Stretch Festival and didn’t even bother to get a quote from the event organizers. Carolina’s sports hub.com provides more local sports than the Star. And he’s a one man show.
