Would you rather:

Average 81 points while starting 5-3 (average loss by 4 points), and hope the defense and rebounding improves,
OR
Average only 67 points while starting 5-3 (average loss by 12 points) and hope your offense improves?

I like the first option better, because defense and rebounding can be improved based on learning, effort and experience, but not so much with offense.

Exactly, exponentially easier to teach defense/rebounding. Can’t teach shooting/touch in a few games.

Plus as out football team showed. It’s more fun to watch a team with an offense.

Loosing 46-45 is no fun to watch.

Crazy that last year we won 15 games after starting off 5-3, and our first 3 losses were by an average of 15points!

Exciting team to watch. We were one player away from beating Alabama and A&M. Martini has to be the biggest disappointment so far.

Either option Rutgers must score in the last 3 minutes of games preferably with some three pointers and foul shots.

That might be more difficult to achieve with option 2, and likely wouldn’t be enough if we’re already down by 15 in the last 3 minutes due to lack of scoring throughout the game.
