Zain should be on it maybe he declined being close to the end of NCAAs.
that is kind of my guess too, but I didn't know. They took McKenna at 65 and Molinaro @ 70. Zain might have just wanted a break to prepare for US open.

Have to believe Retherford was asked and declined. Could be that he needs to prepare for making 65 kg with same day weigh ins. He should really be considered ahead of Stieber too, since he is the returning World Team representative at 65 kg. He's already qualified for the WTT by virtue of winning NCAAs and doesn't even have to compete at the US Open unless he wants to.

Nolf is probably still recovering from the knee injury, but he should be ahead of Molinaro based on last year's placement at 70 kg at the WTT. Same with Jimmy Kennedy I would think.

Nolf and Molinaro are listed at different weights on the Team USA site. Not sure how accurate that is. Molinaro and Retherford are on the team at 65. Nolf is on the team at 70.

Yeah, that doesn't reflect the weight changes for these guys. Molinaro was runner up to Retherford at 65 kg last year, but is wrestling 70 kg this year. Kennedy was runner up at 70 kg to Green, so he probably declined the World Cup invite as well.

BTW, the big bummer this year is no Russia and no Iran.

The only time I cheer for Hawkeyes is when they are representing the USA vs any foreign country. Then I cheer loud and proud for them. USA !!!!!
