Congrats to Burroughs and Green. Burroughs took gold with a TF and Green won bronze with a pin.
Also congrats to the whole team for representing the U.S.
Next year is going to be exciting with the elimination of a few weights. I imagine green will drop to challenge Metcalf. Scott is going to drop to challenge Ramos. Rumblings of Taylor going up to challenge Herbert. Hopefully AD will get in the mix with JB, Dake, Howe , and possibly Taylor. It's going to be exciting.

May have to find a sports bar in Tulsa to watch that.
Mr. Earl, Tognetti, KC Scott and I just got back from Vegas and had a great time. Two gold medals and a bronze and a lot of exciting matches. Burroughs and Snyder looked fantastic and James Green picking up a Bronze with a tech fall in his finals match. Got to visit with coaches, wrestlers and fans and lost only a minimum amount in the Casino.

Orerebo, what are your thoughts on Metcalf and Ramos. Do you think they can bring home a medal someday? Were they right there or was there a noticeable gap between them and the better guys?

I really thought that both wrestled well and I was disappointed when Metcalf lost. He fought hard. The Russian who beat him was very good but I thought Metcalf showed the ability to stay with him. However the Iranian then dominated the Russian and the problem with Metcalf is that the Iranian is very young (Just won the Jr worlds in the past 1-2 years) and Metcalf has possibly reached his peak. I salute him for his skill but it may be time for the younger wrestlers in his class. Ramos competed well but I see a large gap between him and top wrestlers. I thought Iowa represented us well and have no complaints about either wrestler's character and they both gave it all they had.

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. I can see Ramos closing the gap, but I am afraid for Metcalf. He has put his heart into it and he seems like a classy guy, so I hope I am wrong and he can bring home a medal one of these days. Gold preferably. If he gets to the finals, I do not think he will be denied.
