Since he hasn't started or pitched in a couple of weeks, there's no way I would start him in a regional, unless you got into the loser bracket and just needed a couple of innings from in or he did some spot relief. Too much uncertainty and more risk for injury.

He could be very valuable in spot relief if we have to start Rogers in game 1. Get 6 solid outta Josh would be nice and use Rux for 2 hopefully short innings of work.

I wish the young man the very best. I'm sure it must be frustrating for him not to play.

According to Howie s post on the premium board, CDM told ESPN this morning that Rux is out for this weekend, unfortunate for the Cards, hopefully we can get through this weekend without him and he can return for the Super.

I tend to think if he isn't back for the Regional his season, at least as any thing more than spot relief, is over. Add another week of being off and no way he starts a Super game on the road. Now if we would make it to Omaha then we may have no choice.

Guy on ESPN3 said that Ruxer is done for the season....
