Do you agree with the decision not to play in the WNIT

The team didn't make the NCAA tourney, but was invited to the WNIT .
That WNIT invite was declined .

I feel it was a bad move and a good WNIT showing might have helped take away some of the stench of how the regular season ended and ( right or wrong) no NCAA invite.

Would all the games have been on the road? RU was a poor road team this year.

Kim Barnes Arico took Michigan to the NIT in 2015, 2016, and 2017, winning it last year.

It's all part of building a powerhouse. For example, she has 4 top-100 recruits for 2018; while we have 1.

now really thinking this was really about telling the ncaa go pound fish.. (and they really don't care)...this is one we can't win either way.

Unless things have changed, it doesn't work that way. Home / Away are determined on a game by game basis, based on bids. Essentially, if 2 teams want it, the better attendance will win it.

When RU won the WNIT in 2014, most games were not at home, including the final in a sold out arena.

In 2014 we played 3 home games and the final 3 games on the road at Bowling Green, USF and El PAso.

Agreed. Rutgers would have also wasted too much money and resources hosting the WNIT tournament at the RAC from severe lack of attendance.

Selfish not to take part in the NIT if the reason was not wanting to win her 1000 game in that. Disgrace. Competition makes you better but she obviously hasn't learned that lesson. No wonder why they stick it to RU women whenever they can.

Have you guys looked at the teams that are in the NCAA Tournament? She was right to turn it down. We had a stronger SOS and their resume was far more impressive than some of those teams in the tournament

Have to bid for the home games, I think. There was an article somewhere about Purdue saying a decision about submitting a bid had to be made by mid-February. At that time, the Boilermakers felt like they would be invited to the NCAAT. The Scarlet Knights, in all likelihood, believed they were going to the NCAAT.
