Heard a stat that we have scored on the first possession the last 5 games and that Martinez is 18-18 and two TD on those drives. Does the streak continue?

Pry not. All streaks end and MSU's D knows about that streak too.

Would be real cool if it happens tho.

if NU gets out the gate fast, the first possession might be the best time, seeing the defense has the least amount of time to adjust

A quick score would gain us an advantage. We don’t need to get in to some trading scores game with them though, they will make some stops on defense against us.

I usually like to defer to the 2nd half but with this offense it’s smart to take the ball right off the bat..

yes, at least three and 7 would go a long way, perhaps we could kickoff and score after they punt into the wind.....sounds like 10 is out today, according to pregame radio heads, so someone else gets to step it up
