Will the Air Raid become a running joke

I was at a watch party Saturday with about 20 LSU fans, including my wife, all in purple and gold. I was the only one there with State swag (shirt, cap, koozie and cowbell). After a few of the 3-4 yard passes LSU fans would sarcastically say something such as "Air Raid Baby." Oh, and I brought corn dogs. LSU fans don't think much of their team and some thought they were gonna lose. But then the fumble and touchdown happened.

I think everyone knows where I stand with Leach right now, but I also think a lot of people are having a hard time remembering how pathetically anemic our offense was last year.

This year, we’re up to 426 yds/gm which puts us in 48th place, and believe me… there’s a lot I’m not happy with. However, I do think there’s reason to believe that this offense could be fine IF we can get the right QB running it. The million dollar question is if/when that’s gonna happen

Will it, I thought it was already? Total yards, number of completions, dominating stats, blame the refs, blah blah blah is for 17'in losers. This offense has run its course just like the wishbone, single wing, West Coast, etc etc. Gimmicks work fine until enough coaches see it, analyze it, and talk to each other at clinics across the country about how to stop it. It can evolve, add wrinkles, and continue for awhile but we apparently have a coach that is determined NOT to evolve. There is one goal in a game and that is to score as many points as you can and more than your opponent. We are ranked #75 out of 100 in scoring. The only time we score is in the 4th quarter when teams for whatever reason seem to take their foot of the accelerator and coast in for the win. It took the greatest comeback in our history to beat La Tech who is a 2-2 team. We lost to Memphis who lost to UT San Antonio at home this past weekend. NC St is a middle of the pack ACC team that's only finished in the top 25 3x in the last 20 years. Yeah, yeah I know they managed to upset a 2-2 Clemson team in overtime at home, that's not the Clemson of the past decade. Time to face the music and quit sugar coating it folks

I probably should not even comment. The air raid is a joke. Three down linemen on defense and we can’t / run the ball. I honestly think Leach doesn’t give a crap about winning but just wants to prove his scheme works.

A modern version of an Air Raid offense can still work today. But we can't keep running the same simplistic **** we've been running the last 15 games. I'm a little encouraged we ran the ball 25 times Saturday. If we can commit to establishing at least the threat of a running game, get a new QB who can add a run threat, and make a few more tweaks to the offense, Leach could have a chance to have a kick *** offense at MSU. We'll see just how stubborn he is or isn't.

You should consider drawing him up a few plays and maybe suggest a new QB. Check and see who is available in the portal or somewhere.

Are people really counting last year as a full season? I think that’s ridiculous.
There’s definitely improvement, even week to week this year…with a true soph QB who really didn’t get a true frosh season.

We have a QB with. 75% comp rate. We should have beat Memphis. Should have beat LSU minus a couple of busts on D and Special teams…

Until you score more than the opponent, stats are MEANINGLESS. Do you think we are going to all of a sudden get much better against SEC defenses now? We've had 4 of 16 quarters this season already where we went scoreless. We've had 11 of 16 quarters that we scored 7 or less points in. But, YAAAAAAA, we're completing 75% of our passes. That 75% completion rate has us at 75th in scoring this season too. YAAAAAAA!
