I can't see him being assigned to a UK game so long as the lawsuit is pending. An argument could be made that, regardless of the outcome, the lawsuit has created a conflict of interest between Higgins and UK. I would be perfectly fine with that.
Hell, any legitimate committee who reviewed his games should see his bias.
Yet he won "Referee of the Year" in 2017 after he hosed us. My biggest concern after all that post-UNC nonsense was that the Ref Fraternity would circle the wagons and avenge their fallen comrade. Then I realized college officials are just uniquely inept at their jobs and make terrible calls no matter what, it's just their nature.

If Higgins ever gets another UK game, the entirety of the fan base should boo him for the duration of the game. The man is a thief and gets kids hurt. Just ask Huggins on that one. That WVU where the WVU player got hurt should have been the last game that fraud ever should’ve officiated.
I thought the lawsuit had already been dismissed? Even if so, the conflict of interest remains, as his required neutrality has been seriously compromised.

I don't know. I thought the motion to dismiss was denied, but the motion to change venue to Kentucky was granted. The federal judge in Nebraska commented on the lawsuit that he almost dismissed the case because none of the "threats" came from and of the Defendants.
I think Matt Jones, et al. had filed a new motion to dismiss (or perhaps a motion for summary judgment) in Kentucky, but I couldn't find anywhere that this motion had been ruled on.
Expecting an all ACC ref crew. So Puke shoots probably 45-50 FTs compared to UK who'll be lucky to shoot 15 FTs.
Dook will get the friendly call from the refs whether Higgins is officiating or not. That's just one of the guarantees in life, like death and taxes.

Umm.... no. He shouldn't be a referee at ALL anymore. "TV" Ted Valentine was suspended for just walking away from a UNC player, and Higgins got a pat on the back for handing UNC their National Title. If he or the NCAA can't overlook their bias, then Higgins needs to pack it up and work on some damn roofs.
