He will run a true multiple 3 with 3 down linemen and a standup edge player or an overhang depending on down and distance. It will look like a undersized four man front to you but it’s really a modified version of the 3-3-5 that doesn’t use many of the odd stack concepts that Graham and Gillespie used. It will be fine. We just won’t be blitzing 35 times a game like Todd did with a 200 lbs nose guard a couple snaps a game or pulling the hybrid safety back into coverage as much as we did the last few years. LB assignments will change a bit. We will have to get both quicker and faster and those are two different things. You are going to like it, he’s got the concepts and a good core of players. Can he go get the missing pieces to replace the dead weight we are cutting loose? That’s the question.
