Will Clark # 22 will be retired in SF

I had to rewind it and filter through Eric Byrnes, cocaine bender breath.....but I believe he just said the announcement will take place tonight on Sunday Night BB.

Still, IMO, the prettiest swing in baseball history.

next best compared to Ted Williams..just my opinion

I loved watching the Giants get 3 rings, but there was something about that lineup of Clark, Mitchell, and Williams that will always be special to me. Magical time of my life

I blame the Earthquake for him not getting a ring during his playing days.

From 1988 on, I watched as many Clark at bats as possible. I always got mad when he hit the first pitch because I didn't get to see the stats graphic. If the Giants weren't on tv, then I had to wait to read the box score in the paper the next day. If the game ended too late on the west coast, then the score wouldn't even be in the paper.

Seems like 100 years ago.

The earthquake and the lack of a wild card in ‘93. Man, the Giants were loaded and they were easily the second best team in baseball that year if not the best. Unfortunately, they amazingly missed the playoffs with a 103-59 record

I got to meet Will Clark when I was kid back in the 90s at spring training. My dad's friend was friends with him at State so he gave Will a heads up that we were coming down. It was pretty cool.

Funny story, my mom spent a day taking pictures of me and my brothers with big name dudes like Frank Thomas .... only to find out that she never put film in the camera.
