"The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected."--G.K. Chesterton, 1924

I have nearly every book he has written. Outstanding thinker.

Hilaire Belloc is another. The Serville State is a great book. He and Chesterton were friends.
Sad to say I'm not that familiar with either. Just two who slipped through the cracks with me. I'm trying to remedy the Chesterton deficiency now. Thanks for the recommendation.

I like former 2016 Libertarian candidate John MacAfee's nut shell definition of the party: Free Trade, Free Minds. When you dig into the nuts and bolts of borders, homeland security, etc., the individuals making up the party are all over the place. They need to tighten it up a little? I'm probably not well enough informed yet to offer any thoughts on Libertarianism. We need some kind of shift. though, without messing with the Constitution, imo.
