Why has Tate Sage disappeared?

Hausen played dang near the entire half. I have been a big Hausen supporter but he played FAR too many minutes today. Sage played zero second half minutes.

We are really struggling to find a combo that works.
Same.

If Hausen is still 0fer after 3 attempts, yank him.

No idea why Sage got zero time in the 2nd half.

I want more of Tate too, but Hausen is definitely more of a #2 guy along with Combs and Howard. Howard is a great effort guy, but not sure him and Combs would see many minutes on any upper tier BT roster…

I feel in a minority that feel that Sage can play at the two guard really just a wing in Ben's system. He can hit the three and if you noticed at least once he brought the ball down the court. He fits this system better than Hausen IMO who I have no issue with but I don't think Ben has yet to figure out his role on the court.

Interesting in comments after game when asked about Sage not playing in second half, he said really didn’t know… also said somewhere that his assistants handle substitutions.

What? Ben doesn't guide them on who he wants to see on the court? Hausen instead of Sage playing in that second half had a big impact on the game. Just when I want to feel ok about things despite a bad loss something like this pops up.

I can only guess that Hausen has been playing well in practice and they thought he would give them a spark. We all know he's capable of scoring, but I wonder if he's got some game time "rust" since he really hasn't played much in actual games.

Even then it’s still bizarre that Hausen saw 0 minutes in a blowout win vs OSU three days before to almost an entire half vs PSU.

Add in a travel date, there’s only one day of a real practice.

It makes you want to know what assistant coach is in charge of substitution and is minute distribution discussed before the game. So many more questions than answers after the PSU loss.
