If I remember correctly, people on the boards were saying Damon staudimire being a new coach would give him more authority. I guess being closer to becoming a head coach again in the future...
But I also remember people saying he was wrong for taking baye ndongo with him. So there might have been something else to it idk...I just remember thinking ndongo was the best player in that class and it was trash when he decommited lol
