Why are we playing SJSU?

Why incur the expenses of this very long trip to play a team that describing it as mediocre is an unjustified compliment. If they beat us, its a public relations disaster. If we win, then its so what? Looks like we could schedule closer to home with so many teams close by. I would like to play our old friends at Rice and UTEP occasionally.

Maybe because San Jose is expected to be the 51st state. Or someone at TU liked the color of their uniforms.

It's the second game of a contract. SJSU played here a few years ago.

SJSU would be a good opponent if we can consistently recruit California.
