I’m not defending Moorhead here, but maybe why our offense sucks is because our receivers suck ***. All of them

I don’t care how much we practice and who we practice against, this **** show of a passing game is not getting better.

And want much until the receivers are improved.

Weren’t you here a few days ago telling us how awesome of a coach Moorhead is because of the improvement in Mitchell? Moorhead has had 2 recruiting classes to improve the receivers. Is anyone he signed at receiver helping?

He has had only had one recruiting class. He held together the class Dan had offers to before he left. And if we arent gonna pass we should just stop.recruiting QBs and get an extra rb and pound the ball. That should work perfectly against Bama.

Now I know you're trolling, bumping a 4 day old thread to defend Joe. It's doesn't matter what Joe does, he won't be doing it here. You can follow him to his next stop.

Just trying to correct some of the inaccuracies that are spouted on this site constantly. You would think people who come on a college athletics page and post a good bit would have some general knowledge of the subject they are addressing. I have read this site for years without commenting but lately.the posts on here sound like a bunch of Democrats the way people spout untrue statements.

What's untrue? Please, make a list. The Admin disagrees with you. You smarter than they are?

First off if you read the post I said that he had 1 class. The other class was already picked and had offers. So saying he had 2 classes would be inaccurate. But in total we have people making all kinds of untrue opinion comments. This is not a loaded team, not a top 25 program, not a 7 to 8 win minimum team and it certainly hasn't regressed to Croomish levels.

Well it’s 100% factually true that he has signed 2 classes. I don’t care how you want to spin it. We sure gave joe lots of praise for signing the 4 star WR out of New Orleans in that first class. It’s also your opinion regarding the levels of regression.

I think you have a problem understanding what is fact vs opinion.

I didnt give him praise. That was Dan's last class. He did not recruit those guys. That is a fact. It was a good class tho. Not his. And regression is easily tracked by wins and losses which is all that matters. It is subjective to the reasons for losses.

Answer this question... who was the head coach on signing day in February 2018? I just want to make sure we are being factual and not untrue.

But yeah....I guess you are right. He had 2 whole months to get a good class together. So if he gets credit for them that was an amazing job. He signed on 11-28 and by 2-1 had that whole class together. Impressive doing that and trying to pull a coaching staff together at the same time.

Even if we forget about recruiting classes for a minute, how about the rest of the players on the roster? Much like last year’s RBs and then QBs in general, was our WR group seriously yet another one that Joe just couldn’t do anything with?

Guidry, Whop, Dear, Mixon, Jackson, Zuber, Payton, Williams... all completely ineffective in this offense, and frankly... it’s not exactly as if Mitchell and Thomas are having breakout years with their 300 yd seasons

If we want to tell ourselves that all these guys, our prior QBs, etc were just trash, ok I guess... But I’ll keep believing that an even semi-competent coach would find a way to utilize most of them

Exactly. No one has displayed improvement under Moorhead. Even the guys he has signed. If our WR position is so bad (and it is) and Moorhead’s recruits are going to fix it, how come not a single Moorhead recruit from a skill position is even contributing?
