Why are so many against Wilson

I think Byrne understands that for MSU to win and win big we are going to have to do the same things that Missouri, Texas Tech, and Kansas have done. Hire coaches with offensive backgrounds, spread the field and put up massive offensive numbers. Recruiting WR's and QB's will be easier if we produce an exciting offense, if you don't believe me look no further than USM. I too wanted a proven HC, but I think Wilson will be a good hire if he surrounds himself with assistants who know the area, it will be very important that he hire a good DC as well.</p>

I just don't want to offer him some big contract with a big buy out and he falls flat on his face. If we pay out a lot of jack he better be proven. We are already having to pay the last staff and pay the new staff. If the new staff fails and fails early what do we do?

This is most likely the biggest hire in Miss State history. There is no more do overs until all those contracts have been paid out. Got to get it right.
