I haven't seen so many people crying that LSU sucks is the reason we beat them. I honestly had someone at work that said LSU might lose to vandy. Ole piss fans are a bunch of pansies. Carry on.

I live in BR and have many LSU friends and I received exactly 1 post game text. Not a congrats, but an excuse saying that’s the worst defensive LSU team he’s ever seen and the offense sucks too. Most of them don’t even bring the game up.

This is every year when we beat any big name team. It’s what they do, especially our friends to the north.

And speaking of our friends to the north, they were much more angry about our game Saturday than they should have been. Their “real rival” lost, right?

Could you imagine being an LSU fan and starting the season 0-1? This is what that looks like. Their world basically came to an end after week 1.

Are you old enough to remember 1998 football season? Holy cow, the SEC, especially Florida, was upset State was representing the west in the SECCG. So Publicly upset, Florida's AD mentioned doing away with East and west divisions.

Yeah, that suggestion aged like a turd in the sun when the SEC West became a powerhouse.

Sounds like your friend is a typical college football fan.

I wish the conference had listened to the Florida AD. Its way past time to do away with divisions in football.

I’m all for doing away with them to free up the scheduling. Plus it’s goofy that Mizzou is in the East.

Hell our own fans do this. How many times did you see people try to rationalize that Mullen sucked by talking about the ranking at the end of the season of teams he beat?

Yep. Should have done away with divisions in all sports when they did it with basketball. Not only would it be a lot better for scheduling, with divisions there's always a risk the SEC could get left out of a playoff if a weaker division winner upset the stronger one. With no divisions, you'll almost always get your 2 best teams in the SECCG, and the winner will just about always make the playoffs.

LSU people are mentally fragile

I've been to one game in BR. 2014. I spent the entire day being pestered by LSU fans simply for being there (some light hearted and funny, some just plain *** holes). I was pretty excited to return the favor after the game. Sure enough, not only did they leave the game midway through the 3rd quarter, they packed up all their deep fryers and tents and already left campus. It was surreal.

They can dish it, but they can't take it.

Similar for me. I used to live in Baton Rouge. I went back in 2014 and tailgated all day with friends and former coworkers. After the game, all of their tailgate spots were vacated with no trace of the days activities before I could even get to them. One of them even removed me from his weekly mass right wing propaganda emails. That’s when I knew he was really hurt. The only communication I got from any of them for a while was letting me know there was a special place in hell for that violent criminal, Dillon Day.

Maybe y’all are hearing things I’m not, but is it coming from anyone other than LSU or OM fans? National media has been gushing over Leach since Sat night, Chris Vernon of Memphis sports radio rang a cowbell on his show yesterday, and all the Arkansas fans that live around me have been nothing but complimentary.

Let’s be honest... LSU fans are just asshats any time they don’t win, and OM fans are pissed because they thought they had the shiny new toy only to find out that little brother actually got the better one from Santa. Typical

Oh fans of other SEC teams are 100 % downplaying our win. Look at any message board on 247 or the God awful rant SEC board. They are absolutely terrified that what they saw Saturday is going to come knocking on their front door when Mike Leach comes to town.

I got three genuine congratulatory texts from friends who are LSU fans. Just thought I'd put that out there.

Kiffin looked like a arrogant prick on the sideline. He fits right in.

Think it's the FIRST time a returning National Champion has lost a Home Opener since ~1978!

Don't think they anticipated what hit them!

Since 1990, State has beaten LSU 6 times. And that includes losses to some dreadfully ****** LSU teams. So I’m not letting any outside talk of LSU not being very good this year effect my enjoyment of the win in any way. Over the last 31 years, how good or bad LSU is has had zero bearing on whether we won or not.

So to anyone that tries to rain on my parade, 17 off.

Never understood the jynx LSU had on Jackie Sherrill. 0-3 at A&M and 2-11 at MSU. And he often had the better team. Interestingly, Tyler and Bellard owned LSU. Went 9-2 vs them from 1974-1984.
