Who wins 3A West?

Don't tell Seadog, Coonie and Sasha but Red Raider football ends this Friday. So we keep hearing. Year after year. I am no particular fan of South Point, but Hibriten better bring a better team than they have EVER had if they expect to hang with this SP team.
Both teams run a version of the option and their defenses are the stronger portion of each team's game. I expect this will be a defensive battle; whichever defense can make the other's offense pay on a lost fumble/interception will have the advantage. The Panthers have some big boys so our O line will be tested. For the Panthers, the Raiders may be the toughest team they have played besides Watauga and West Rowan.

I wouldn't say that Hibriten's defense is the strongest part of the team.... They are good and opportunistic but the offense is their strength
Have you seen either team play? I would put our defense up against anyone and feel confident.
WOW!!! Patsfball, have you been smoking crack? You spent some time dreaming up those comparisons. Hibriten has the speed and is definitely the home team but if they have a better defense they wouldn't be able to score on themselves. Until now they haven't needed anything but speed.

Sprawl, the comparisons are pretty accurate. SP will finally get a playoff game Friday night.... ask West Rowan and Burns how well you run over Panther defense and get back to me.

Pats love your passion.You will make one hell of a Raider fan when you grow up. I remember Seadog in his youth as a devout Crest fan. Now see him after maturity.
No doubt Hibriten has a very good team...the best the Raiders may have seen this year outside of Shelby but SP will be the best Hibriten has seen without as well. SP is clearly the underdog but you can bet the Raider coaching staff which is the best in state will have a game plan that will put SP in the best position to steal a game many doubt they can win.
Follow Seadog's lead and you may one day join the ranks of past, present and future Raider Hall of Famers.

I doubt there will be 35 points combined. No way SP defense gives up 35. Shelby only scored 24 and that was when we were still ironing out the kinks. Hibriten isn't Shelby.

Yes I have said some things about our coaching staff and that thing called daddy ball but we have improved over the time and yes I ate my words alot but one thing I have said the all time our DEFENSE IS PRETTY DARN GOOD. SP vs Havelock would be worth the price of admission.. but SP vs Rocky Mount the rematch the same. You can't go wrong either way.

Hibriten beat the wheels off Burns and West Rowan, both good teams. Hibriten defense took both offenses totally out of the game. If South Point keeps it close more than one qtr it'll surprise me. Even with Seadog wearing a headset and Coonie back in a cheerleading skirt, SP goes down.
Just wait, after this season Havelock can say bye to your top five status. Catholic, Dudley, Huss, Kannapolis and Monroe are all coming to 3A, and Crest will still be in the mix. Your rams will feel the change next season.

Now let me get this straight. SP finally got a playoff game Friday night? Ok, we are getting back to you. How does 26-0 sound with another missed field goal and taking a knee at the three yard line the last minute. That is how you run (and pass) over the Panther defense. Maybe West Rowan and Burns were the cupcakes.
