Powell. I'm certain he told Hillary he used a commercial server since he did, as State didn't have much of a functioning unclassified e-mail system in 2001. That's not the same as recommending that she do it, especially since by the time she took the office we did have a pretty good e-mail network in place thanks to Powell's efforts. When she says she did it for "convenience" what I think she meant was she thought it would allow her to avoid the "inconvenience" of FOIA requests.

So, he gets a pass on this because it was "based on the information he was given", even though that led to thousands of American lives lost and continues to cost American lives ... but the right is wrapped around the axle over a handful of lives in Benghazi.
Those thousands of lives aren't worth multiple congressional hearings because it was a Republican that made the call, but the handful in Benghazi cost the lives of the greatest Americans ever so it needs to be investigated ... because it was a democrat that made the call.
This is what sickens me about politics. Nothing they do is ever based on any kind of sense of morality, ethics, or values, because if that were true it would be considered equally bad no matter who did it. No, things are only good or bad based on the letter that appears after their names. There is no integrity whatsoever.
Are you intentionally trying to mislead? As I remember, most Dems voted to go except very few + Black Caucus, who always said no. There is history of leading Democrats speaking on floor of the need to remove Saddam. Perhaps you just don't know better and refuse to look at the vote.
The only person in the senate who is a player today that didn't vote for the invasion is Obama. He voted present because he is a person who does not take blame for anything.
Sadam did gas his own people so we knew he had some level of WMD. Powell advised against going in. He reminded Bush that if he broke it, he owned it.
YOu are completely correct and now we find that Hiliary had her lawyers use that special program to delete her emails. What's funny is, her lawyers weren't cleared to see the emails. You don't use bleach whatever to wipe yoga emails ro chelsea's wedding plans.

Yes, we know he gassed his own people at some point, but because of that his weapons program was supposed to be shut down. The ruse was that he was building them again which is why we went in ... except that he wasn't and here we are with the mess we have today.

That was the only thing that kept him from voting "present". About half of his votes in state were "present". Never wanted to take blame for any vote he made. No credit, no blame.
