Torn Labrum
Not a good night at Who's number 1 with both Mastro's losing close decisions, and Burks losing 3 to 1 giving up a takedown at the end of the match. Neither Mastro was aggressive until the end of the match and they were behind. Although Travis kicked into gear much earlier than Trevor did. The last few matches I have watched of Burks he has not finished the match well. The only wrestler who won that possibly could be connected to the Cowboys was Voinovich who lost 2 takedowns but when he was on top kept half nelsoning Vasques to his back and finally pinned him. Vasques could not defend the half nelson. Plott did not wrestle and Headlock says he has a torn labrum which could be very serious?

TBF to Trevor. It was a freestyle match which is Robert Howard’s specialty.

Travis Mastro nearly had a takedown near the end of the match which would’ve given him the lead.

His opponent fled to the basketball floor, which nullified the takedown. He was deep on a single in the first as well, but couldn’t quite finish.

Great event and a god sign for our program we had so many OSU connected. Need that to continue.

It’s a GREAT time to be a cowboy wrestling fan and this event was further evidence.

Mastro & Howard should hit a couple times during the HS season.

The showcase of this event would have been AJ vs Amos @ 220. We might see that at the Ironman if Allen goes like they normally do.

Have they wrestled before?

Don't think so because Amos has always been heavier. They were in the same bracket last summer for the Cadet trials. AJ bumped up and Amos cut down. AJ won the 92 kg spot and Amos finished 3rd. AJ said when he won bronze at Worlds, he weighed in 10 lbs light at 192.
