I couldn’t figure out exactly where they were coming from, but how do people around them tolerate it?

It was Wilcher’s family/friends all behind the Nebraska bench.

His dad was screaming for a good straight 2 minutes at fans and students at one point and they were all giving it right back to him.

I will say he seemed like a friendly guy - he held the door for me on the way out and we were joking around about how it was a fun game.

Wow. I wonder if that circus travels to Carneseca arena?

It was two ladies behind the Nebby bench
As loud as our fans are, we're pretty cordial
Try doing that at some other places around the country and the fans wouldn't have put up with hit for long

I get Zappa's point but based on the responses, it sounds like they weren't going to be intimidated.

I just recorded it off the TV. We we recorded the game last night.
This is her son making a free throw and then watch her stand up shimmy and scream like a banshee. The woman towards the right of her in N sweatshirt was the one joining in later on during our free throws

I don't understand noise from behind the Nebraska bench would impact Rutgers players shooting at the other end of the court.Fernandes and Simpson made their foul shots.

I think it’s because our home crowd is quiet when our guys are shooting FTs, so one person’s scream really stands out.

Seperate note, Jamarques Lawrence (From Plainfield)…had family sitting next to us.
They were very quiet and respectful of rooting for the visiting team.

His cousin told us she was RU alum and any other day would be rooting for us…might have played a part, but still they were some of the more respectful visiting fans I’ve sat near.

After Simpson made his foul shot he looked up into the stands (to his left) and shushed a person....there was no screaming after that first make and after his second he looked back up again and pointed to that same spot.

1 or 2 people yelling shouldn’t impact a foul shot. They get worse noise on the road.

players need to focus and get locked in.
It wasn’t yelling. It was full-blown screeching/screaming just as a shooter was setting to release the ball. It was kind pathetic, actually, aside from being beyond annoying to listen to on TV. It literally sounded like someone was at a high school game. As I stated in the game, they threat a couple times this woman sounded straight up like a “screaming banshee!”

It was annoying but if the guys made some free throws maybe she would’ve stopped. Every time she screamed we rewarded her by missing. Probably the ugliest FT shooting performance that I’ve seen.

Sounds like it came from a Halloween reel. I would’ve been distracted while foul shooting too, from laughing at it. 😂

Annoying from our perspective but perfectly ok. Opposing fans allowed to make noise too.
Yeah, you always get some of that especially when there is a local guy on the visiting team. It tends to be bad with the OOC metro area games because everyone is pretty much local. One of the reasons I moved from 212 to 216.

All that noise is fair and as fans, part of the game.

The screeching was just an annoying as hell sound.

I used to have season tickets in section 112 for years. But an RU female fan did that scream thing and I couldn't take it. I had to move multiple seats and rows to get away from it.

I don't understand that screeching thing that fans don't think is annoying to everyone including their team.
