WVU needed to make some serious progress in 2022, so far they have not and this coaching staff may be history. It may sound brutal but this is a results-oriented business and if the results aren't there, people lose their jobs. After three years and three games, West Virginia is 18-20 under head coach Neal Brown and currently staring at the schedule, its a tough slog to decide if we are able of winning at least six games to get to a bowl game. Lyons gave Brown a contract extension two years ago and needs a justification for the buyout and contract. Currently, Neal Brown is contractually signed through 2026. The way his buyout is structured requires the Mountaineers to pay 100% of the remaining contract if Brown is let go before December 31, 2024, which is why I always thought Brown would be here through 2024 at least. Once 2025 comes around, the buyout reduces to 85% of the remaining buyout. WVU won’t be fantasizing about poaching other Power Five coaches. With 4 million probably being the cap for WVU. Under the Ole Miss Football program Freeze committed various recruiting and academic violations that figured in the NCAA's decision to expunge 27 of Freeze's wins and ban it from post-season play for two years. He resigned from Ole Miss after officials discovered that he had used a university cellphone to call escort services multiple times over the course of five years. No thanks to Hugh Freeze Luke Fickell will stay at Cincinnati until he gets offer from NFL, a big time SEC job or Ohio State. Cincinnati would be P5 so he will stay there. He is already making 4 million plus. Jason Candle is a good possibility to replace Brown. Candle replace Campbell when he left Toledo for Iowa State. I would not mind hiring Candle. But then again Candle is only 26-21 at Toledo after starting out 21-7 with Campbell players. Bill Clark UAB 49-26 (60-30 overall) Jamey Cahdwell Coastal Carolina Me I would look at Jason Candle or Jamey Caldwell
