Surely a reporter would have better resources for finding out what is going on in Denver.

i think has locked Veazey, Locke and Wardlaw up in a room somewhere and will not let them out until he returns. Of course no worries of pornfro since he is out interviewing secretaries on different coaches religion

There's no way someone is going to tell them, on record, what's going on in Denver. They might get a "Byrne is meeting with Neinas about the coaching search," but that's questionable. Veazey's doing about all he can do- calling and getting statements. What you want is Swindoll or Wardlaw, who can tell you "the word on the street."
