I guess the truth lies in whether you believe Trump knew the guy has a disability or not. When I first saw Trump's bit on this reporter I assumed that he was acting like a flustered individual and not mocking anyone. He should apologize if it offended the reporter and he didn't know he had a disability.

After watching his numbers rise simply through confrontational antics, it's pretty obvious his supporters are mostly made up of WWE or reality TV junkies. We're not talking about the sharpest knives in the drawer and he will continue his embarassment because ...well...that's all he knows.

What? Trump is a dignified gentleman! He'd never be involved in WWE.

I read the story the first time. He should apologize if he offended the guy. And you should end your faux rage on the subject.
He never apologizes. He only says the media misrepresented him. Same shtick...over and over.

How did Trump mock the reporter? He called him a nice guy.

With the exception of Democrats, Trump has mastered the "technique" of calling pretty much EVERYONE he slams"a nice guy" when he either knows he's going to get......or expects to get.....pushback on his latest insult.

But what separates him (thus far) from everyone else is he ultimately doesn't give two ***** WHAT his opponents say (or think) about him. It's also quite clear he's convinced himself he's impervious from damage from these kinds of insults; understandable for a guy who's basing EVERYTHING thus far on favorable poll numbers.

Under the assumption he wins the nomination, it'll be interesting to see how dramatically he backs off this kind of rhetoric (at least toward everyone outside BHO, Hillary, and perhaps John Kerry).

Good analysis.....IF, and I have serious doubts he will be, he is the nominee he will take the gloves when it comes to Hillary.

I don't see his support slowing down...however down of these other guys are going to have to bow out and when they do where will they're supporters go...can someone else gobble them up and overtake Trump? Rubio and Cruz might positioned well to gather that support and move past Trump...going to be interesting.

Still a LONG way to go until primary season.......and I'm still unsure whether his support translates to votes.....but nobody else thus far (now that Carson has finally started going backward) seems to have remotely the amount of wind at his/her sails as Trump.

To be honest, Hillary and Trump is THE most compelling race by several light years. Of course Trump enters THAT ring without gloves.....but so does Hillary. And anyone who thinks she's at significantly greater risk in this kind of brawl than Trump ignores reality. At the end of the day, both candidates will have MORE than enough personal AND professional negatives for their opposition to exploit.

By the time November 2016 rolls around, Presidential voters nationwide may end up voting their declared parties in about a 95/5 ratio. The sheer hatred between the two parties.....and amongst the electorate at large.....after four months of anything-goes campaigning may be unprecedented in this nation's history.

Lots of blood is going to be spilled in that race....and I don't know if I JUST mean figuratively......but assuming partisan turnout is roughly comparable (and I think it WILL), this looks to me like a race which will be won by the candidate who best appeals to MODERATES.
