Loved watching him play last night. Just gets in your face and dogs the ball defensively. So important that he continues to take care of the ball and knock down some open shots.

Will definitely be a fan favorite.
If he doesn’t take care of the ball and hit open shots, will Cal play him 32 minutes a game anway?

Wheeler will be able to do what he does against every team we play. He is the only player you can say that about.

I like the kid. Some are worried about his turnover rate but I look at it like this..he wasnt surrounded by good players at Georgia and he still had solid numbers.Lets give him some games to see how he can run the show from the point guard spot.I think once the players figure him out and he figures them out that we are gonna see a gutsy little guard that is more than capable of being a solid contributor to this team.

Hope he inspires his teammates to play as hard as he does. Still looks to be trying to fit in but he drilled a couple 3s and gets where he wants. For his size he can finish and finish through contact. Miles coach says he was like a super quick concrete block on d. Just needs to learn his teammates games and stay under control. He’s gonna make a few mistakes but a lot more good plays. Looks to have leadership skills

Went up the game the other night and was very impressed by Wheeler. He plays hard on both ends of the court and is so fun to watch. Sure, he'll make some mistakes going as fast and hard as he does but he makes life miserable for the other team's PG and I love it.

The old saying,"He's the straw that stirs the drink" fits Wheeler, to a tee. Wheeler's ability to push the opposing guard back a couple steps will cause problems for the opponents to get in their sets. I'm afraid many will only focus on his mistakes rather than the positives.

He will play an important role this year with his Defense. I just worry about all the touch fouls he could rack up with his intensity. Hopefully flops are called fairly because I can see a lot of guys acting as if they were attacked and falling back with their arms flying.

He may end up being our best straight-up on-ball defender since Tyler Ulis and Cliff Hawkins.

Wonder how much Ulis talked with him this summer?
Not sure he was like that at UGA.

Man I just don’t see the infatuation with Wheeler. It’s not just the turnovers it’s the plays he cant finish or the way defenses back off him completely which disrupts the whole offensive flow. He will need to hit open jumpers that’s for sure.

I think he’s a solid player. But KY ain’t riding a 5-9 PG who can’t shoot to a FF, are they? Just feel like the ceiling is lower with Wheeler as lead guard versus TY having the ball in his hands a lot more.

We will see tonight as the length and skill of the competition gets better. Hoping he balls but I’m afraid you will see those limitations a bit more vividly against decent opponents.
