What were they smoking?

Where is the team discipline?

So, found this video on Facebook appears to have been posted by Maurice Smitherman it shows the team in the locker room celebrating the Egg Bowl win. He is smoking what appears to be a flattened cigarillo and passing it to others who are smoking it as well.

Well as I type this I see that the video has been taken down, but I have photos. Ok, for the record I have smoked weed in the past and I will smoke it in the future too. I am NOT opposed to the legalization of weed, I think it is less harmful than alcohol.

However, there are instances where I am opposed to lighting up and smoking weed and in a one of them is in a football locker room among teammates immediately after a game. Hell, in the video you could hear Coach Moorehead talking to the team in the background and at one point Smitherman stops smoking and bows his head for what I assume was a team prayer. Then lights up a second flattened cigarillo as players in the background sing Hail Dear Old State.

Again, not trying to be a prude - players can leave the campus and celebrate and smoke and drink and party after a win and I have no problem with it. But the audacity to light up and smoke openly in the locker room in full view of teammates and coaches is wrong. And when you add this to the "Tutor-gate" situation we had this year it has to make you question the leadership and discipline of our team.

Feel free to flame away.

You think they took the victory cigars, emptied them, rolled them, and smoked?

All in front of the team and staff and then posted online for all the world to see?

Use some common 17ing sense and get this garbage off the board. It was a celebration cigar.

You are really grasping at straws here. The entire team is given cigars to smoke when we win the Egg Bowl. This is something we’ve done for years and before any State fan knew who Joe Moorhead was.

The Moorhead hatred has reached stupid levels at this point. Y’all are literally looking for any possible reason to trash the guy. If you’re going to complain, fuss about something better than this weak BS.

Sorry guys, my bad. Got your links and I remember Mullen doing the press conference with that cigar back in 2013. The optics just fooled me, the cigar seemed small but was must have been just a Robusto not a full size, passing it around fooled me too as well as the video disappearing shortly after viewing it.

My bad.
