is there any proof to this whole bo drama?
have any players said they are throwing games for bo?
if so, who exactly are they?
can any one bring substantive proof any of these rumors are true?
is there a list of the rumors? so we can check which are and are not true?

Players throwing games?? Haven't heard that one yet.. If true, simply disgusting and an incredibly disrespectful act considering 100% of us fans are hoping for the best for them.

Strip their scolies and ship em to Kansas if they wanna be losers.

I read that rumor somewhere

I don't buy it (not that you read it, but that players would throw a game)...unless you were talking about the thread where the points dropped before the game...there were some implied jokes in that thread about players on the take..it certainly wasn't serious.

Haven't heard anything about players throwing games. Don't really believe that. There is word that Papuchis has been contacting current players and has been stirring the pot.

Wow, the interwebs can be fun!

No one is throwing games. Crap on a crust...stand back from the keyboard for a second and think rationally about that.

Do you really think the football players like being the laughingstock of college football this year? Do they enjoy being bashed online, and at every office water cooler and coffee shop in the state, if not the Midwest? Do they relish the looks of pity and disgust from classmates, especially of the opposite sex, in the dorms and classrooms? Does anybody enjoy getting their teeth kicked in week after week by inferior teams?

No freaking way.

Not to mention the players involved would 100% nuke any possible chance of a future pro career, coaching career, or anything remotely related to athletics should the allegations be proven true.

Here's a more realistic scenario: the team doesn't have much talent, they're not adjusting well to the new schemes, and the coaches are doing a poor job compensating, resulting in disappointing performances on the field.

The fact that it is out there is bad enough.
We have players that are not helping with that perception. A captain even.

Truth: paps hung out at the Lincoln racquet club.

Rumor: paps bullied 12 year old kids at the Lincoln racquet club for their lunch money.

Not a chance of throwing a game. You'd have to be an A lister to have the team in position to win em all and have freakish incidents happen to lose 3 of em.

Theres no way Tommy is throwing games, he has improved his passing game greatly. But like an QB, hes going to have struggles and Illinois game was one of them. He still tore them upbwith his legs, so there goes the threwing the game issue in itself.
Closest to that would be the oline, Lewis himself would be the closest, jumping early all the time causing fall starts at key times, but he had that same issue last year so i dont by that either.

I have not read anywhere TA is throwing games, and no reasonable person would believe it. I have suggested he is being stubborn and maybe he's winging it a play here or there because he doesn't totally buy in to MR and doesn't do exactly what he's asked sometimes, IE-throwing it on a run play. I could find it easy to believe somebody would try to improvise and maybe didn't do what he was asked, I'm sure it's pretty common. But throwing a game? Nobody said that and I cannot fathom for even a second anyone would do that.

The betting lock of the year, or so some thought?? Then, something very unusual happened the morning of the game. The line dropped 3.5 points in one fail swoop.... Hmmm????

The same competitiveness and attitude that allowed TA to lead us back againt Miami and in some games the previous two years is the same competitiveness and attitude that sometimes leads him to do things like throwing that incompletion. He's a bit of a gunslinger with a make something happen attitude. After hearing him say that he was trying to avoid a sack to keep us in field goal range, it makes sense and I don't blame him as much for his decision. He had a logical reason for what he doing what he did. Sh..tuff happens. The WR getting behind our safeties was inexusable.

I haven't seen anywhere that anyone has accused him of intentionally throwing games. Show me where.
Just another Tulsa Tom troll. Makes stuff up or uses out of context crap to suit his twisted purposes.

very silly. I'd only go so far as to believe we have a few lousy attitudes on the team that is impacting chemistry in a very negative way. Perhaps players that played more under Bo and less under Mike.

a troll maybe...? idk.

i don't buy anyone throwing games, but staying in contact with people with an ax to grind is a bad policy. if its anything more than, 'hey, good luck this weekend' or 'keep working your *** off' then they never had their best interest in mind.

rrthusker, maybe I miss read something, but the other day I read a post and it seemed to suggest that.
I just used that as an example. I just posted this post to get a feel for what husker fans thought was the true story about the supposed attitude of the team.

There was a post along those lines. It was flat out dumb...but that has been par for this board recently.

No problem at all, I`m just trying to see where it originated. I have heard this too about a couple of players but not about our QB.

Nobody is throwing any games. That would be insane.
This is the thing I don't get. People who play sports want to win. The idea that people are throwing games or even not trying to win is an abomination to anyone who has played the game. A lot of players really liked Bo but I'm sure some hated him. The idea that those who hated him were trying to lose to somehow hurt Bo is stupid. The same goes for this year. The idea that players aren't trying their best to win because they have a fondness for Bo over Mike Riley is just as dumb.

Tulsa I haven't seen one single post suggesting anyone is throwing games. You are saying stuff that flat out isn't true. Either provide the link or admit your posting crap that isn't true. There is no in between. You specifically have said now twice, posters have suggested players are throwing games and mentioned Tommy as one of them. So where are those posts at?

I admit I am taking your post a little personal because I think you are talking about me, in which case you are flat our wrong and I can prove it. If you're talking about somebody else then post the link. Or, option #3, you're making stuff up, otherwise known as trolling. So fess up, who or what are you talking about?

I'm like the original poster. I read something about players not even trying to win. TA was mentioned. I have no idea who said it but it was stupid. I'm not going to spend hours looking for something to satisfy someone else.
