What is the number

So I’ve been thinking, every time it seems to be not gonna get worse, something new occurs. My timeline is probably way off, but first they closed the schools, then bars and restaurants , then beaches, now rumors all “non essential” business closings coming.

So what is the number? They (the government powers) are obviously looking for a number, or a certain percentage, or something. They do this in everything they analyze.

What are some opinions on what number type of number they are looking for (total cases, death toll, percent per capita) and depending on what type of number, what is the breaking point (50,000; 2,000; 10%, etc) for us to go into full blown lockdown in this country.

There is no number. Until the curve of cases per day vs. time starts to invert, we are going to see ever increasing restrictions....all the way up to exactly what is happening in Italy if that’s what it takes.
