S&W MP Shield EZ 380 nice little gun and one of the smoothest i've even owned. another option is the SW body guard 380. it's smaller and everything is flush so that it won't catch in your pocket or inside pant holster. lcp are also good conceal guns. I just prefer to have the safety features that the shield and body guard have. i have much larger pistols with larger round capacity that I will carry with me, but they aren't easy to put under a shirt or in the pants.

Sig P365, Ruger LC9 stays in the truck, that way if it's stolen, I'm not out a lot of money

Hate to highjack the OP, but this is more of an add-on since y'all are already discussing this. I have several shotguns and a rifle, but no handguns. Wife had a couple before we got married, but none currently. We both are researching what we want/need.

I read here that one of you has like 7 different guns for different reasons. Do you have one at bedside, another in truck/car, and one to CC? How do y'all go about this? Think my first priority is home protection, then truck/car, then finally CC.

I my case I could easily use my PPQ for All of the above. If you actually carry every day no need for a car/truck gun. Maybe keep some extra magazines in the vehicle if you carry a single stack. Same for bedside/home. Now if you want to only carry a sub-compact, then you could maybe have a second or third for more firepower.

^^This. Don't forget grip angle that fits you.

The gun that fit my hand and was naturally on target when I raised my arm was the Ruger SR9C. Professionals say it's more accurate than the full size SR9 because the trigger is so much better, and I've shot both and agree. It come with a short, 9rd clip that fits in my pocket and the backup clip carries 15, I think. Once I cleaned out the factory grease, it eats up just about any round I've fed it without complaint. Been very happy with mine.

I carry the Springfield Hellcat micro 9mm. Wife carries the Sig P365 9mm. I see why she prefers the Sig, but I really like the Hellcat.

I assume you are referring to me

I have a full size 1911 in a holster attached to my bed post. We do not have children at nor children who visit our home, that causes more thought to the subject. I have a Kel Tec KSG mounted above the door in our master closet loaded with buck shot. Each vehicle has a lesser expensive full size pistol either mounted by magnet under the dash or in the console. Less expensive in case of a car robbery as someone has mentioned previously. I generally carry the biggest gun that I can comfortably carry. It’s tough to carry a full size 1911 or full size Glock when wearing gym shorts and a T shirts I adjust accordingly . Guns are tools, different tools perform different jobs.

What is most comfortable to you. I wouldn’t get a 380 though unless you only want to defend yourself at point blank range. Go to a store and hold as many options as you can.

Well, I'm an old fart and not an expert shot, but I can still put all 7 from my LCP II into a dessert plate at 7 yards.
