What happened to Smith?

Injured his knee right before half. Could be mild or not. He was walking around with an ice pack on it right after.
I realize that, but that is where the injury was, regardless of whether it was an aggravated reinjury or not. He has been wearing that brace for several games this season.
Yeah, but this has been the worst he has looked. This also may explain why he is so loath to take off with the ball.
Heard he has had mcl since navy game, along with numerous other injuries the kid as been dealing with. To put yardage up with all the hits taken and pressure he has faced this year it is pretty crazy. Believe line and nearly all offense comes back next year, could be pretty dangerous.
It’s time to let Boomer and Brin show what they can do.
Oh Lord no. Smith was 10/14 with a td before he got hurt. We don’t want either of those guys in a game long term I assure you.
I stand corrected. We definitely want to play our starter so that he can continue to destroy his injured MCL in the remaining meaningless games.
from what I have seen the kid is pretty dam tuff, but if knee is not good enough to go on by Houston, I would agree let him rest the knee and let other guys get some experience. Smith has had a really good year and drastacislly improved our passing game But if he can’t go he can’t go.
I thought you meant bc of performance. If you want him to sit for that reason then I misunderstood
If he hurt that is one thing but agree if you want him out for another! Wouldn’t understand that all! Kid has played his butt off!
Smith has had the knee injury for some time and it was aggravated on the play before halftime. If he isn’t 100% or if playing will cause future damage then don’t risk it. Get him ready for next season. We are playing for pride and to build for the future. Giving Boomer and Brin reps will be good for TU in the long term.
