OU loses to Texas and removes the Defense cord proving to the OU faithful that they know the problems and that they take the program serious...

TU... took Football serious for coach K and Todd then the John phillips of football took over and, well... they gave up.

Monty did what Blankenship siad he could do given 2 years with what he has.

Since then, Monty has lost winnable games against Arkansas State, Texas, USF, and melted at Temple this year.

Last year it was close losses at Toledo, UNM, SMU, UConn, USF, plus getting blown out by freaking Tulane and Temple.

8 games lost by the HC/OC with blowouts to Temple and Tulane? Plus a loss to Ark St who, however good they are in their conference is not acceptable.

4 years and a true FR QB because his other 2 guys didn’t work out?

The math is there.

I’m angry... angry that we’re in the position we are. Unfortunately TU doesn’t have the nuts, money, or AD to do anything about what we’re seeing. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up about a coaching change. However, in no way are we getting nearly $2 million worth of coaching from Montgomery at this point.

My fear is that when/if Montgomery is let go or leaves that TU will do what they always do in situations like this... hire some under-qualified assistant coach for about half (or less) of what they’re paying Montgomery.

I defended Montgomery last year but I was clearly wrong. He can’t get the job done, but if TU wants to be competitive in our conference, we need to actually make efforts to make it happen.

Oh and I wish we had a pass-catching TE like USF has.

I didn't see hardly anybody in the higher ticket west side sections, so he may be in trouble.

As weather demon pointed out, he performed with Bill's kids and did what Bill said he could have done. Since Bill's recruits have left we have become sloppy and you see our players confused a lot.

If we're firing him now is the time to do it, go all out for Todd Graham. Back load Todd's contract to make it financially easier, similar to what they did at USF with Strong.

Not sure we could find a better fit than TG over the next 2-4 years. The cupboard won't be bare, he fires up the town and the fan base, he can recruit, and he knows the school.

Montgomery fixed our biggest issue when he got Zach Smith to transfer here....none of our qbs are capable of winning at this level....6/21 79 yards....I wouldn’t have thrown it in the 4th either with a lead....He would probably have turned it over like we have all year...at least we have our defense a chance to make a play unlike Temple and Arkansas State...I feel sorry for all the players on the team....bunch of kids busting their tails only to lose Bc they don’t have a qb who can get the job done.

Who created our biggest problem?

It's not the QB. Every new QB we have put in there looks good initially and then regresses.

Our QB didn't call a jet fly sweep in our own endzone.

Our QB didn't miss three field goals or not recruit a scholarship kicker.

Our QB didn't go for it on fourth and one, up by one with a hurt rb.

Our QB didn't take his sweet *** time getting plays in durring the last two minutes of a game.

Our QB is not 4-10 in games decided by a touchdown or less, with the only wins coming in overtime.

In short our QB is not the issue.

Montgomery sat on his *** while Dane did the heavy lifting, The cupboard is bare at qb in yr 4... in yr 4!

Our hall monitor coach did not expect to be here in yr 4. But he is and we are losing because he didn’t assess the teams needs in year 1.

He is a freaking hall monitor. And a bad one at that.

We don’t have the nuts or AD, but we’ve got the ******* money to do this. Don’t let them fool you.

For all the talk of "fire Monty & hire TG"( a scumsucker who can really coach), please re-read D. Danchez post above. With a qb Monty could trust, I really believe we could be 4-2 or 5-1. However, when #'s 29 & 8 go O-fer & Boomer hits #4 in the #4 in the end-zone & it's dropped, we also have a major WR issue.

Graham, the defensive genius, never developed a D that is maybe as tough but not as deep as now. Both Big Cat & A. Evans( a young CB who will be a star) did not play. TU is living "next man up".

As for TG's next dream job, he & Smoo in Dallas will be perfect for each other. TU Football: 1st,last(& that ain't no BS),always! In any event, me & the 4500 other fans saw a hell of a good college football game-but the result made me want to puke.

Please read my post in response to him. It's not a QB issue. Period. End of story. It's the guy making the decisions, not the kids doing what they are taught and told.
The problem I see is recruiting. We are competing with tx st, ark st, north texas, mo st, ...

Explain again why Texas continues to physically dominate games and struggled with our sub par talent? Or USF who is a top 25 team the last two years?

Talent isn't the issue. The players are doing what they are told. The problem is what they are being told.

4-10 in games of 7 points or less, same consitant crappy decision making and dumb penalties.
