... That
A) Syracuse makes the Big Dance and
B) If they do, they get matched up with UNC G in the first round?

Almost always root for acc teams in the tourney (minus one of course), but if this occurred, I'd definitely be rooting for the Spartans!

The only way I see Syracuse getting in the NCAAT is if they win the ACCT and I just don’t see that happening. If they had finished 10-8 or maybe 9-9 in the ACC then they MIGHT have had a chance to make the NCAAT.

Does anyone think Danny Manning will still be the coach next year at Wake?! Just doesn’t seem to be getting it done and it’s not like he has had horrible talent either.

I am sure Ron Wellman (Wake AD) has Wake fans wondering about that 6 year contract extension he signed Manning to in November. Sure he got them in the back door (final four in last year) of NCAA, yet still has an overall losing record. He's a lock to be back next year, signed thru the '24-'25 season. He has an excellent recruiting class signed, but like you mentioned its not like he hasnt had decent talent. OFC

Isn’t uncg coaches by a former tarhole? I thought I heard that. If so, no way in hell I pull for them.

I was an athlete at UNCG in the 90’s so a little part of me pulls for them! I try to overlook the hoop Coach Miller’s college resume

If Syracuse can win tonight I think they're probably in, IMO. They lose and it's off to the NIT. They had a chance to beat UNC two weeks ago when they were tied with three minutes left but they didn't score the rest of the game.

Yeah, Manning is safe at least through next season....but if they don't start showing some promise next year with that recruiting class then I think you'll start to hear some whispers.

Unless your name is Duke or UNC (and right now Virginia, too), it's really tough to be good every season in the ACC. A lot of times programs get those two to three year windows where they need to make it happen.

Let me tell you guys a second hand wes miller story. I've mentioned from time to time that I keep rec league score keeping. A few years before I started he played rec league in my home town. This was after his career at unc. They said when he came into the gym the score keepers, clock operators, refs and everyone else just shook their heads and said "here we go again." According to my source he whined like a bay from the opening whistle till the final horn about the way the game was being officiated. All he wanted to do was shoot 3's and play no D. He ranted at his own players for not getting on the offensive boards and when they did he yelled at them to get the ball back out to him. When he did play D he flopped all night long and the performances were poor. He didn't even know how to flop properly so I guess he had a lot of blown flops. They said he only lasted one year in the league. I don't know if it was because he found a job or nobody wanted to pick him up the next year. My source said most of the time people just laughed at him behind his back. Very spoiled young man entitled and privileged. Maybe he's grown up. Love to see him as the next unc coach. OFC

Yeah, that's what I've read, win tonight and probably in.

My dad lives in upstate NY so for multiple reasons I'm hoping they beat UNC tonight.
