What an end to the OM game.

1. I am sick of Refs making bad calls.
2. If it was going to happen to someone I am happy it happened to those cheating bastards.
3. Bama would have gotten a review.

Not sure I agree with you. Ole Miss was out of time outs, with just seconds left on the clock. In that situation, by stopping the game to review, the officials could have altered the outcome of the game. The official on the field was in perfect position to make the call and seeing the play as it happened, there was no reason to think review was going to change the call. The review officials did exactly the right thing.

It wasn’t a bad call. Not sure why people keep saying it. It’s unfortunate for OM but it was the right call.

It was the right call. It would not have been overturned, even if it wasn’t. With that said, it should have most definitely been looked at. A potential scoring play, that close, in that spot, HAS to be looked at. That would’ve at least given OM a chance to look kinda disorganized instead of completely disorganized.

But, the refs didn’t lose OM the game. The coaching staff did. Luke wastes 3-4 timeouts a game due to disorganization and poor situational football. If he’d had a timeout left, none of that would have happened. Ole Miss’ extremely long shot of making a bowl game has now been erased due to extremely poor coaching against Memphis and Cal. OM could very easily go 3-9. I’d love to be wrong, but I’m not.

Are we sure that OM is entitled to a review if the clock is running? If they’d stopped the game, wouldn’t that have given OM an advantage?

Not sure about the college rule, but we saw the NFL version take place against the Saints the first week of the season. They stopped play and forced a 10 second run-off after the review.

I don't blame them. It should have been reviewed, and we'd have thought so too if it was us. The officials screwed up. Even so, they would have had to make a 2-point conversion.

If a 10 second runoff would have been required, then OM was probably better off without the review since its unlikely it would have been reversed.

I think reviewing the play would have given UMiss an unfair advantage, because they could have taken time to set up the final play. It was their fault the time was so short. They shouldn't be rewarded for bad clock management.

Do you really think it wouldn't have been called a TD for bama to begin with?
