Amazing defense and brilliant offense the second half with Ava coming alive. Everyone who played did a great job and played their hearts out. Callie Levin was brilliant for her few minutes, including hitting a great bucket to beat the shot clock. And every Hawkeye fought on defense and on the boards every single second against the rugby team from Ann Arbor. It was a pleasure to watch Iowa's collective competitive spirit and 15,000 fans backing it up.

An 18-point win over #6 Michigan who, I hear, narrowly lost to #1 UConn and #2 UCLA. Good for them . . . Maybe that'll make 'em feel better to remember those days as they try to forget their sixth straight loss to the Hawkeyes.

Everyone brought their “game”. Physical for all 40 minutes. Jensen “haters” sit down!

I think today was a good example of why Jan gave Callie minutes in some games but was criticized for it. She is our next defensive stopper on a great offensive perimeter player when Kylie gets in foul trouble. Callie has a role on this team and we should celebrate Jan for getting her feet wet in a couple of other big games. We may need her D and energy at tournament time.

Excellent observation. And Callie has proven she can get it done. She has quick feet, and as she showed with that buzzer-beater in the lane, she has the moxy to play against anyone, anywhere. She didn't play long, but she played great. And, of course, if she were to get extended minutes, she's a serious three-point threat as well. I just hope that she sticks with the Hawkeyes. It will be tempting to leave to get playing time, and who could blame her. There are plenty of good teams out there that she could start for.

But she probably wouldn't start on any championship caliber teams. We're losing 2 guards to graduation. In lieu of portal adds she's number 4 in the rotation which would assure her of some quality minutes along the lines of what Addie was getting this year. If she likes her team I think she stays.

Can see both sides. Will she be happy to get 6-8 minutes a game ( maybe) in the future or while the team wouldn't be as good going somewhere else to play 30 minutes a game.
