Pretty much a face plant in the dirt.

What kind of belt buckle is he wearing? Looks like he's ready for the Wildhorse Saloon.

It’s not a belt buckle but their cheat sheet basically.
Most players have a small laminated sheet with where to play in outfield etc but they keep in their back pocket

Yeah, think I saw something that looked like a scrolled out sheet, couple days ago.
But that was not confirmed...to me.

Hate to admit it, but I really like this Michigan team.

Hilariously terrible slide included.

His gloves hit the dirt at a decent angle but there was zero roll to that dirt. They use a heavy duty drum roller between games and that dirt is basically concrete. I turned to a fellow state fan and told him I’m glad that wasn’t us.

I had to teach my kid to slide a few weeks ago.

He's in coach pitch, and it just hadn't come up until All-Stars, when suddenly almost any time you didn't slide into second on a force play was an automatic out (the kids at that level finally stood a decent chance of turning a double play).
I showed him a few times on a sloped, grassy hill just to ease him into it, and walked away thinking that I didn't do too bad, and that maybe I could pull it off on dirt if I needed to demonstrate more. The next morning my bottom leg reminded me that I'm old. It not only hurt, my lower thigh looked liked someone had tried to draw blood with a paddle. All thoughts of trying on dirt fled my mind.
