Well that was disappointing.

Young, inexperienced team. Gonna be a long final 6 games, and honestly I don’t see another win on the schedule if we can’t get the offense to play consistently decent. If Kendall comes back and plays like the 3 TD and 300+ yards passer from last week, we have a chance to maybe eek out three more wins over the last 6. If we get the Kendall that threw 4 interceptions, however, it will be tough to get another win.

A lot to look forward to in the future once all these young’s guys get some more experience and development. Hard to say whether Kendall would have made a difference today.

Patience is needed, but that is hard when you wait 8 months for four months of football. We have to give Brown a couple years to fully implement his program with his guys, which also makes it hard to wait for.

Cant run. Or at least are giving up on it too easy.

Don’t/Can’t throw the ball over 10 yards, so the threat of passing is not there which allows defenses to focus on the run.

Defense plays good for two downs, then give up a third down conversion... and the catch on third down seems to always be uncontested.

For the most part, the defense is keeping things in front of them, but the cushion is so big the players on offense are able to make most catches - I would guess 7 out of 10 - with nobody contesting the reception until after the catch is made and the defense settles for the tackle.

The offense’s inability to convert long drives when we have them into touchdowns, or inability to consistently convert third downs wears down the defense to where they are gassed at the end of the game.

I would love to know what it feels like again to have a serious kick return threat.

I truly felt like we had enough talent on the team to get 5-7 wins with a potential 8th in a bowl. Looking like I was wrong right now.

The bottom line is, we have had no playmakers on offense so far that can be counted on week to week to consistently deliver a good performance.

Yep, appears right now it is gonna be a long second half of the season.

On changing the offense for backup Jack Allison. NB said: We were doing some things different.... right there in the first quarter had to change and get to some plays that he's comfortable with.

I think we all knew this season was not gonna be the best ever, but knowing it and accepting are very different I guess, at least for me anyway.

I am curious how many true and redshirt freshman are seeing playing time, not to mention second year sophomores that are the equivalent of redshirt freshmen.

Allison I think has the arm to get the ball down the field, but maybe doesn’t look like the accuracy is there to go with it yet.

It looks like we don’t have the personnel to run the spread the way we are used to.

I know we are preparing for the future with each game this season, but I would almost go with a 2 TE set with a fullback and ram the ball forward until we get tough enough to run it consistently.

I see flashes from some players on both sides of the ball, but the word I keep coming back to is consistency. And we don’t have it on any level right now. We are consistently good and we aren’t consistently bad.

He used some 2 TE today but only 1 RB. There were 5 freshman starting on defense then there was an injury and Bailey getting booted there were 7 freshman players.
