Sorry man, it super sucks. :(

We had to put 3 dogs down in 2 months earlier this year and 1 last year.

Sorry to hear been there done that on 3 occasions…

One of the toughest things you’ll ever do..Make sure your with them when you put it to sleep..

It’s better than letting them lay around in agony unable to eat or drink like we do humans. Your highest responsibility to your pet is to not let them suffer.

Yeah, done it 3 other times. Never easy. We'll be there to hold him till it's done.

Sorry.

Put down our 11 year old Dane in April then in June our 1 year old St. Berdoodle's lead broke and he got hit by a pickup in front of our house. That death hit me as hard as any in my life. Loved that dog. ☹️

Been through it twice, and as a grown man who grew up in the era men don’t cry. I cried like a baby lots of water works between my wife and myself hopefully you have a good vet like ours they do a wonderful job in a tough situation I don’t envy them at all

Sorry to see this news. We had to do the same thing to our dog a year ago last July. The house still isn’t the same without him.

We actually had the procedure in our home. It was very very difficult but at least he was in a familiar place.

I lost both of my cats earlier this year. One in March, two weeks after our 14th anniversary (feral cat). The other in May, 5 weeks after his 14th birthday. I know what had to be done, but it was awful saying goodbye.

I remember the whole family standing around the family dog when I was 14 as he passed. My father died 6 days after he had to put down their dog of 17 years. Don't tell me that didn't have anything to do with his death. I'm sorry that you have to say goodbye to your buddy and put him down.

Did that with my last sheltie.. Helps them not being so stressed out in the vets office and it around their surrounding with their loved ones..

Great decision for the family..

I rarely post… but drop in almost daily.

Sorry to hear. We have been there and it sucks. Just know people feel for you and are thinking of you.

Its amazing how attached we get to these 4 legged family members.

Always tough but if you loved the dog and were good owners, the dog couldn’t have had a better life, and would be very honored to be your pet
