Seems Mountain Heritage may be starting to figure some things out after the rough start (granted they played a killer schedule). Avery is very one dimensional it seems from maxpreps.
Owen gets their first conference win but I think Rosman gives them all they want for the 1st half
Draughn wins, but has a lack luster performance after the big win last week.

Lost 1 very good linemen, 2 Linebackers one played running back as well, a tight end and a receiver that played in the secondary best I remember but with 17 starters back expectations were high. QB has been injured since the Mcdowell game but played. We seem to lack the fire to do what it takes to win this year. Effort is the only thing an individual can control.
They would rather fight with each other and let jealousy beat em.
MA lost all their LBs one was D player of year conference. It makes a big difference at LB position. Did #65 graduate he was good for Mitchell both sides of ball.
What the others said. I'll just add a stating db Duncan has been out with a broken leg since the second game but last I heard is expected back for the Mtn Heritage game.
But I agree with the others it's not a matter of talent true the QB getting hasn't helped but they actually played to me their best game against Watauga with him on the sideline while I believe they would have won with him in if he hadn't been injured they played with more fire then any other game and I thought maybe was a turning point but nope. Talked to a former player who's still young enough to know everyone and sounds like the issue is mental, internal bickering etc. I just hope they've used this off week to work out their issues and work together as a team or these seniors at the end are going to have regrets on what could have been if not for what sounds like petty stuff.

Well as I mentioned Mitchell seemed to come together against Watauga and with the QB on the sideline lost by one TD that actually wasn't even a TD but TC Roberson was lost to Asheville tonight 28-21 and even might have tied the game but fumbled on the Asheville 33 with a little over 2 minutes in the game, Watauga beat TC 42-13. That kinda tells me it's not a lack of talent but something else going on
Yeah if you're talking about teams with pretty equal talent. If your team has a hard time defensively against say a triple option and play a team that runs it that's a bad match up for your team but if the other team hasn't many good players and haven't won a game all year then it probably doesn't matter. And maybe TC did have a bad night that night they are young but Waughta still had the talent to beat them by 30. So to me at least that still says there's more than lack of talent going on.
You'd kinda think after all the years that might have happened.
I don't know what they'll have next year I've heard it both ways.
But I haven't given up on these boys yet this year I'm really hoping especially for the seniors sake this off week some health got better and they straighten some things out.

Well if that's true no one isn't going to have great stats if they don't start playing as a team and winning games. And if true just odd I never seen a Mitchell team with that kinda attitude especially under Pittman.
