Week 2 thoughts

We started off a little meh on first down play calling last might so I was interested to see the final results. We ended up averaging just over 6 yards per play on first down.

Zach Smith made some great throws last night, that TD pass to Carter was beautiful. Not many can put that ball right on the money.

Crawford! So happy to see this kind of a game from him.

Biggest thing we need to work on (although we got a little better later in the game) is succeeding in obvious run situations.

Defense needs to get more pressure on the qb against OSU, 1 on 1 deep is not going to bode well for us.

Im proud of the team and coaching staff last night. Up tempo and fun to watch. Im excited for Saturday.

So many weapons on O. So much for Gumby defense to prepare for. It might be TK then the Lovick kid next week. Rather a nice contrast between power & speed. It appears the Crawford kid is a bit ahead of schedule on becoming a star. Hated the penalties & must be fixed. Got a feeling that OSU D will blitz the bleep out of us. Let's hope re-tooled O-line can handle it. Finally a TO. Will need a couple of these on Sat. TU defense will raise their game against the Cowpersons although worried about their speed. Gonna be fun!
