#21 (receiving 139 votes)

Appearing on 27 of 32 ballots

Have to make up some ground to get to #20 (currently receiving 224 votes) but then after that it's an easier jump to #16 (receiving 280 votes)
Good news! Next ladder to climb is to get into the top 16 seeds when the field is selected. The top 16 seeds host 1st and 2nd round games. Our RPI will help and if we keep on winning, everything will take care of itself. But playing the first two rounds at home would be a dream!

Now RU's in the top 25 like many RU WBB fans thought should have happened last week.
Time to keep on winning and move into the top 20 next week and hopefully move into the top 10 .I'll always look on the positive without allowing negatives make me think obtaining higher rankings are impossible.
Winning will do that, so lets hope the RU WBB team proves to be the type of program that deserves top 10 ranking and makes the season CVS obtained 1000 Victories a great one for her, the program and fanbase.

It feels good to have a positive outlook based on the way the RU WBB team is playing, instead of hoping they play the way I want them to.

I like that hashtag 1984. Stay focused, get better, and #justkeepwinning

Rankings are meaningless at the end of the day, but they'll take care of themselves.

Great news.

Time for a reminder. We are unlikely to go undefeated the rest of the way. Not being a downer, just stating a probability.

Hope we can avoid the meltdown at the first loss.

Meaningless, but free publicity, too. Ranked teams have their scores run across the ticker, and have their scores show up automatically as the default "Top 25" listing, and draw more media attention overall.

It doesn't help you win any games (and may even put a target on your back), but it draws more eyeballs.

Exactly. Hopefully those eyeballs include those of our local sports reporters.

Poll rankings ,Stringer's win total and Scaife's point total will be topics for discussion for the remainder of the season. If they all continue in a very positive trend ,Rutgers should be in good shape for NCAA bid and favorable tournament seeding.

And hopefully all will help get more butts in seats.

I'd like to think the 2/4 game vs. Michigan would be much better attended if it could be billed as "Come see the #12 Rutgers Scarlet Knights as they try to notch Coach Stringer's 1000th win against the #20 Michigan Wolverines!"

:D
